does anyone know if it's possible to do/ if it's been done / how difficult it would be ?

Doable but very difficult.

I beliece it reequires some tricky work to get the Turbo to fit, as the 3sgte sits lightly slanted, and so takes up a lot more width than the 4agze.
You would also need to do a lot of rewiring, as they both run differnt ECUs, with differnt genrations of OBD.

I think that unless you really keen on building a full race car, and had the time money and enginering skills, that it would be easier to simply buy a MK2, or stick with building the 4agze.

buuut... isn't the 3s-gte heavier... and wouldnt that throw off the balance people like the MKi for?

Yes and no. I drove Deno Plumleys MK1.5 and it is very well ballenced and kicks ass. The only thing that makes this car scary is the power.
Now his car is 100% sorted. If joe blow 16 year old was to try this, I bet it would not be a good match. Deno has the know how and expertise to set a car up. So that has so much to do with how the car works.
