Which anti freeze coolant?
I have a 2007 Aspen and need to replace the engine coolant. Which is the best replacement to buy? Or do I need to just stay with the Mopar brand 5/100 HOAT coolant?

I would stick with the Mopar recommended stuff...although many extended life coolants may be compatible to it. |

Re: Which anti freeze coolant?
Previous to 2000 Chrysler used a Green 3 year, and depending on the vehicle in 2000 some used a Red 5-year antifreeze. They used the 5 year up until about 2014 and they switched to a 10-year (Purple) antifreeze. From Mopar, that I have seen, the 3 and 5 year come concentrated and the 10 year comes pre-mixed. I agree with gmtech1. Mixing the different coolants can lead to sludge building up in the cooling system when not flushed completely out. There are some universal coolants how ever, if you use one, use with care

Re: Which anti freeze coolant?
Should be the orange zerex G05 coolant. Or Mopar same stuff. But does not come 50 50 for the record. It's synthetic so it's known. Zerex G05 u can buy at some auto parts stores

Re: Which anti freeze coolant?
For the 2007 year that's used. Had a vehicle same year. Forget what other years.and it is not a mix. You have to make your own 50 50 water coolant mix.
