1996 monte carlo 3.1 LS conversion to 3.8

Anyone know what steps id need to take i completly destroyed my 3.1 it just went bad
and i want to get a 3.8
1.) Will ot fit
2.) What are the steps for setup and to make it work
3.) Just a question .. anyone know about manual trans swap in these cars

what year 3.8 L .? probably a different wiring harness and PCM , Did
