2009 acadia liftgate

I have a 09 Acadia with 82k miles and all of a sudden the lift gate won't stay up. It will open automatically and as soon as it gets all the way up it comes back down immediately. Any ideas?

Your liftgate support strut or struts (some have two) are worn out. The power liftgate module is only designed to open and close the gate, not support its weight, replaced the strut(s).

Contact your local GM dealer for parts prices, I would guess around 40.00 each. Not sure if aftermarket has any available.
