suspension problem

hi guys need some help..i have an 01 deville (base) with the air level shocks in the back. i took out originals and replaced with Gabriel Hijackers. my old airline would have worked but the ends were seized/ rusted into old shock so i had to cut them. my question is can i use an aftermarket air shock line to replace them from the pump? also dont even know where pump is located but havent looked yet either lol. or can i use the cut line with 2 new o-rings even if the line doesnt have that flared end nomore?

I have spliced pleanty of air lines using 1/8" compression fittings from NAPA, just use a small pin to help open up the hole in the plastic line after you cut it. Use a razor blade or sharp knife and a sawing motion to avoid really crushing the line when you cut it. The pump is under the right rear of the car, above the muffler.

thanks for a prompt reply GMtech.....i was thinkin of goin all the way to the motor but if u say the splice will work, i'll try it! so do i just get regular brass compression fittings like we normally use on metal lines or is it special ones for plastic lines?

Yep, the brass ones are what I use, haven't had a problem with one yet.

should i do the splice in any particular location?

I usually do it where the line comes out from the plastic inner liner in the wheel well and goes up to the shock.
