Leaking Coolant
Awhile back I noticed that coolant was leaking from behind the front passenger tire where the wheel well plastic and the frame/firewall come together, basically right below the passenger door.
Suddenly the leak stopped, figured maybe it was just the overflow tube so I did not investigate.. Months have passed and recently I noticed a "water sloshing" sound coming from behind the dash on the passenger side, looked under the hood and I noticed that the coolant was a bit low, but not terribly so, took not even half a jug to get it to the Full Hot position and now the leak is back, same spot, looked at the overflow tube, it's dry and definitely not leaking from that. It's coming from between the wheel well plastic and the frame/firewall. It's never overheated or even comes close, any ideas what this leak may be?

Re: Leaking Coolant
Check your heater hose connections. I had to fix one on mine last fall after losing a little coolant every now and then.

Re: Leaking Coolant
heater core? Its under dash. Water sloshing? might be filling up the evap box in the dash.

Re: Leaking Coolant
A half of a jug is a huge leak. The coolant capacities is 12 quarts and 2 quarts is almost a 20 percent leak. If it is leaking outside of the cabin you are only risking engine failure but if the leak is inside the cabin you risk serious health problems from Antifreeze poisoning http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/e...cle/002751.htm.

Re: Leaking Coolant
Only two months late, haven't been keeping an eye on the forum lately. The missus still uses the Bravada for a daily driver and we still take it camping and on our winter holiday trips. Over 280k, another set of tires, brakes, front wheel bearings and another power window repair but it's still cheaper than a new car.
