auto transmission swap,

will any a604 a1te transmission from the 96-00 year models work? or will i need to get the one that was put in a van? most of them look the same...

Somebody chime in if I'm wrong but pretty much any from a van will work I believe. I see you must have decided to replace your tranny. So I take it the ground fix didn't work?

I'm asking because if i need to i may beable to trade an old car for a tranny, o if any will do that would be great, but yesterday the gauges died with the abs light on, so i think the TCM may be the big issue here with the pack replaced and the ground wires on the tcm having a good ground.

now heres a good question, iff i head to pick n pull, will a tcm from same year and model and trans work,or will i need to go to dealer to have it programmed?

ok, so new (good used) tcm didn't fix the issue, back to original question will any 41te from 97 on work? and for some reason my trans looks like a trans for a 98, could this be the late 41te some people were talking about? would any later model 41te work?

Your guess is as good as mine Robert. I've looked all over and nobody seems to know if any later model 41te will work. My guess is yes but the electronics are the issue, I just don't know what's involved. Maybe someone with a little more experience will chime in.
