cleaning airbrush after two part urethane clear
Hello all,
I have recently been trying out two part urethane clear (with the appropriate eye protection, mask, covered clothing, hat, etc- I'm practically in a HAZMAT outfit, but better safe than sorry). My question - should the airbrush be cleaned with lacquer thinner? I couldn't find exact information on this from the manufacturer, and noticed some plasticky residue on the tip of the airbrush that I later peeled off. I definitely wouldn't want that stuff landing on me, and undoubtedly it is still inside the ab. Thanks in advance for your help, this forum is quite informative. |

Re: cleaning airbrush after two part urethane clear
Yep, that's what I use to clean my airbrush after spraying 2k. Good luck with 2k, I'm still struggling to get it right. Its a PITA to polish out imperfections.

Re: cleaning airbrush after two part urethane clear
You can use plain old lacquer thinner to clean it out. Make sure you use it immediately after painting. You don't want 2k to dry and ruin the inside of your airbrush.
