suggestions

Have just bought a 96 GLS (4cyl gas) 5spd transmission with approx 165k miles. It is leaking oil from many different locations. Occasionally I get the low oil pressure alarm and occasionally I get the check engine light. Other than the leaking oil (1 quart in 100 miles) it runs great. Does not appear to be burning any oil. I suspect something being plugged along the lines of the PVC valve. Any thoughts?
