2005 and OBD II reader problem

Just to be sure, I tried three different readers that wouldn't connect. I understand that the most common cause is a blown fuse so the reader doesn't get any power. Any one know which fuse it is? I can't see those tiny fuses and I don't want to pull them one by one and take a chance of losing the code(s).

Usually on the same circuit as the cigarette lighter is on. I will keep on looking for a fuse box diagram.

Re: 2005 and OBD II reader problem

I got a pdf of the owners manual from Ford. Fuse 41 (mini 20amp) is listed as cigarette lighter/ODB II power source. Hopefully when I get home and check it, it is blown. I don't want to even contemplate something else being the problem.

With a new fuse the reader got me a code. P0022 cam retarded. I had an oil problem recently and I think there is sludge in the VCT (variable cam timing) solenoid. Now to find out if that is it.
