Question Muffler bracket replacement

I am looking for one for a 1998 Saturn SL-1, nothing in my Haynes manual says anything about Mufflers. The old one broke and I am using a coat hangar. Where is a good place to look and any ID info I need for the part? Thanks for any assistance.

Re: Muffler bracket replacement

Your FLAPS should be able to order a new muffler strap for you if you have already have a replacement muffler. However, if you still have the factory-installed (OEM) muffler (which is very large in diameter), there is no replacement available. An exhaust shop may be able to custom make one for you.

Re: Muffler bracket replacement

for my '99, I got the large dia. one from a muffler shop, as the local suppliers didn't have it, only the small dia one.
