LED tail lights....... recommendations

I am thinking about getting a set of LED tail lights for my 08 Silverado and want some tips on what brands to stay away from and what guys have had good luck with.I'm looking at the ones that have the blacked out edges/lens so it will give some contrast against the silver of my truck.

I heard that LED lights won't work right because they require so much less amperage that the truck thinks they are burned out...unless you get a new relay box that goes behind the panel just above the drivers left knee.
