power window issue

Hey guys first post. Got an issue with my passender power window. A few weeks ago after normal operation i powered it down but then it would not move up or down with either control (drivers master or passenger switch) then suddenly up it went. Because neither switch would power it up or down i assumed the motor was bad on the passenger side. I ordered and installed a new replacement. With the passenger button i could roll it down but not up. With the drivers side i chad complete contol. I messed with rolling it up and down with both contols but suddenly from both sides she is dead. What other ideas could cause intermitent function. Its a 2004 f250 superduty thanks

Does driver side work?? Have you checked the switch for power when this happens?? Have you checked the wires in the rubber boot in between door and body for any broken wires?

Re: power window issue

I am currently checking for a broken wire. The drivers side did work and then it didnt the challenge is tracing the wires i dont want to cut the boot. Is there a way to go to the switch disconnect and test each wire?

Re: power window issue

Sorry I am not familiar with then interior setup. Not sure if you need to remove door panel or if the switch cluster will come out of the panel seperatelt. Hopefully somene else that is familiar will chime in.
