Re: Starting Question

Is this the TAC system? By that, I mean, does it have a throttle cable or does it have a motorized throttle body(TAC)?

If the TAC system, clean the throttle plate and bore......then disconnect the battery cables(key in NOT IN IGNITION), neg first, then positive......then hold cables together for a minute(this resets the modules).....reconnect the positive first, and then the neg cable.....

Now try starting the vehicle......If a TAC code is set, or another PCM code is set, this might prohibit the remote start from working.....in those cases, the vehicle won't even crank....if yours cranks and doesn't start with the remote, then try cleaning the throttle plate and bore first....

If you have a throttle cable, then clean the throttle plate and bore, and also remove the IAC valve and clean the pintle of the valve and mating surface in the throttle body.....

I tend to doubt it's a TPS problem....
