'53 Hudson Hornet
Hi guys!
It's been more then a while since I had anything at all done in styrene buy now something is happening again. Had this lurking about on my workbench for a year or so and now it's finally closing in on the finishline. I had a vision to keep it in a green/yellow theme inside and out but the interior got a tripple green treatment with various knobs in blue. The major modifications I made was to shave off the door handles and ornaments on the front wings. Also lowered the suspension and put on some wire wheels from a Italeri '64 Ferrari GTO. The wheels only needed to be narrowed a bit before they just slipped in Moebuis tires. Some extra details on the engine is just about what I've made so far in the engine room and I think that'll do. Had a hard time getting the roof painted as all sorts of problems occured, paint chipping off, dust and debris, never curing paint...You name it, it all hit my Hudson! Well, on to some pictures of the build so far... Interior. ![]() Ride hight and stance. ![]() Spinners on, later got a golden bullet in the center. ![]() Engine pics. ![]() ![]() Roof, first attempt. ![]() Roof, final result. ![]() Very close to finish. ![]() I'll get back as soon as it's finished with better pictures. /Niclas |
