2003 Dodge Ram Van power driver's seat loss of power.

All of a sudden the power driver's seat in my 2003 Dodge Ram Van 1500 has quit working. I checked the fuse panel and there is no fuse listed for the power seat. I pulled all the fuses out and checked them all and they are all OK. The owner's manual doesn't even cover the power seat - no mention of it. I unplugged the wiring connection under the seat and ran a hot wire from the connector directly to a hot fuse in the fuse box, and connected a ground wire from the connector to ground and I now have power. Does anyone have any idea where the wiring is connected to eventually, or where an in-line fuse may be for this unit?

thanks,
Ian

Did you check the fuses in both fuse boxes?

No, just the fuse panel on the end of the dashboard. I forgot about the underhood box, I'll check it out.

I found the circuit breaker and replaced it, still no power .... there must be a break somewhere in the power line. I may just re-route another power line.

It turns out that the ground wire is bad, somewhere. Interesting thing is that both the hot wire and ground wire are all wrapped up in electrical tape and go back under the seat and from there I'm not sure, but I spliced in a new ground wire just behind the connector and grounded it to the body and it's working fine now.
