2004 Suburban service tire monitor

My "service tire monitor system" warning is showing and wondered is this something I can check, shut off?? I check my tires regularly and keep them at the correct pressure. The dealer seemed to want quite a bit to take care of this. Thanks, Tom

Re: 2004 Suburban service tire monitor

If your tire pressures are ok, then one or more of your sensors are no longer working. Can you look at the individual tire pressures on your dash? If you can, the one with no readout need replaced (if they are in the correct positions). The tires need to come off the wheels to do this.

There should be a manual tire position relearn in the owners manual. Follow that, if one of the tires wont relearn, that sensor needs replaced.

I will get in the manual and see about the relearn. I can not or do not know how to read individual tire pressures on the dash. Will let you know how that works out. (after the rain stops)
Thanks, Tom
