2000 passenger sliding door

I am going to have to replace the center roller on a 2000 Venture WB edition. It does have the auto open and close feature. Anyone ever done this and/or have a link to the procedure to pull that roller off and replace. It looks like I can pop the center pin out of the center roller and support the door, pull the trim off of the quarter panel and replace...but it does have the cable attached and I want to know what I am doing before I go pulling something off that might have tension.

When you have to start messing with the tension and cable adjustments on those, its really turns into a big pain in the ***. I would really recommend looking for a manual. Replacing the bearing isn't hard, it's dealing with the cable.

Does the bearing slide out to the front or back...also I have a Haynes manual that goes through the tension process...hopefully I wont have to do that as I don't intend on removing anything else...but I am SURE thats not how its going to go down....

Re: 2000 passenger sliding door

That was uneventful...took maybe 20 minutes. Pulled off the tail light and trim piece. Propped up the door using two jack stands. Knocked the door pin out, slid roller unit to the center and pulled the cables off. Hardest part was getting the cables back onto the new roller...using some needle nose pliers to get it in there made it easy...put the pin back in and removed the jack stands...no adjustment needed.
