Blower runs high;climate control does'nt work

In my 2002 300M the blower stays on and run in high mode and I can't turn it off. Maybe the climate control unit is not working?? Any advise?

There is a blower motor resister behind the glove box that needs to be changed. Google Rock Auto car parts.
