F12 Berlinetta

After some research I decided to work on an F12. Figured I would get away from red and black combo, so I chose a yellow/blue combo. I will drop the stance, chnage the wheels, add CF and try to make working doors (remmeber I said try). I ordered hobby design's PE and scale finishes paint.

I was hoping to work it as a double wip, but my buddy is flooded with work.

I started by following Exotics Builder's suggestion of using 458 sets

and removing molded pedals

Wheel choice

Interior colors. I will use velvet paper for upholstery

See ya soon...

Thank you sir. Here are some more

I worked on the front bumper lip....

Had to bring in the suspension to fit wheels in

The 2 blue tones are close. I didn't want a huge contrast. I'm also going to apply a wash to bring out the lines

Here's the velvet paper I talked about. After making templates I cut pieces out

Soak them in water so the paper backing peels off

You can see the thickness difference.

Now apply to area...

That's all for now...

Re: F12 Berlinetta

Ohhh cold shoulder haha. I forgot to metion that I'm using hobby design's pe set, which is pretty nice. Anyway here's a quick update.

Heres how the velvet paper looks. Any gaps can be hit with flat paint without a problem

I got some CF work done and shot it with 2k clear. I can't say it enough. Studio27 decals are amazing

I wanted to mimic yellow stitching...and failed. My wife made fun of my paint lines

The dash of course

Added rails though I'm sure they are not accurate :/

The PE includes a nice door trim piece. I used aluminum mesh to replicate what I believe are speakers. I love 2k clear

Engine detail is nice.

Up next is body painting time!

I'm sorry to be skipping around so much, but I lost some pictures and/or forgot to take some at times.

Comments/thoughts are more than welcomed. 'Til next time...
