Coolant leak

Have a small coolant leak. The level is dropping and I can smell it but I cant find it. The radiator was new at 100K miles and the heater core is bypassed. No evidence on or near the hoses, water pump or radiator. Getting ready to replace all the hoses because they are overdue but I would like to find the leak(s) first. Any ideas?

Thanks

Test before replacing hose and then after .
Get some coolant leak test dye and a pressure tester.
Preasure test cold and warm and hot.

Re: Coolant leak

Is the intake manifold coolant leak internal or external?

Can be either one.
Watch engine for coolant in it if internal.
For external leaks pressure test coolant system cold and warm and hot.
If you use coolant leak dye test stuff and have a internal leak it will show up in engine oil test.

Re: Coolant leak

Thanks, I will get the dye in the system next week. How long does a water pump usually last? Mine has almost 200,000 miles on it.
