Suspect problem w/torque converto after engine install
Hired a guy to install a reman engine in my 94 S10 P/U, 4.3 V6, 2WD auto. Now I hear a clicking sound inside the cab coming from the tranny hump (but no sound outside the cab) and a burnt brake smell after reving the engine in park. The clicking frequency increases/decreases with the enigine rpm. I suspect he screwed up the torque convertor install.
The reman engine runs well. Any ideas? |

Re: Suspect problem w/torque converto after engine install
Burning smell could be paint coming off the engine, oil on the exhaust, no way to tell from here, same thing with the noise, possible trans inspection cover is mis- positioned and hitting flex plate?

Take it back to the dude. If he messed something up, he should fix it.
