Header question

Hello all,

I'm hoping i can get some help in this section. I actually have a 74 Catalina with the 7.5 455. The catalina thread hasn't had activity in almost 2 years. The Bonneville looks very similar so hence my reason for posting here.

My exhaust manifold is cracked and I can't find a replacement one. I might as well get headers but i can't find any "plug and play" options. Is there a model of headers that will fit without any modifications?

Well I would suggest calling the major header manfacturers and ask, but what do you mean plug and play, you will some kind of custom hook up to the collectors and if I recall there may not be headers that will fit the Catalina body style unless a GTO set up would work.

by plug and play i basically meant undo the current exhaust manifold and replace with headers. i know there's a bit more to it than that but i was hoping to avoid a lot of modifications (cutting,welding, etc) and more importantly, something i might be able to do on my own in my driveway. i'm not very familiar with the installation process of headers but i was hoping it could be a DIY job. First i wanted to price headers but i haven't even been able to do that yet. thanks for replying though

i think i found something that will work. how can i tell if i need round port or d port? thanks
