cupped tires

Hi!

I drive a 2001 BMW 330Ci with the original Continental Conti Sport tires. I have around 20K miles on them and they have developed a cupped pattern, specially in the front. I admit that I do drive the car VERY HARD most of the time. Most of the information that I have found on this problem refers to worn struts. My dealer says that this is not a typical problem for BMWs with this low milage. I also read that this could be a result of hard driving. How can I tell which one is my problem before I invest in a new set of tires that could be ruined quickly if the problem is with the suspension?

Thanks for your help!

It would be very unusual for struts to wear that quickly. Unless you are experiencing symptoms of worn struts such as lack of dampening on rough roads or excessive body roll than the unsual wear is probably due to aggresive driving esp if tire was maintained with proper rotation and air pressure.
