remote starter

i have a 2006 gm sierra and i am installing a remote starter. it is a bulldog 500 deluxe with the 791 bypass. at the ignition switch there is a white , red with white stripe and a black. all install manuals and what i have read online says there should be a yellow wire. i am confussed as to which two wires i use for the bypass. i tried the red/white wire and the black and that trigger the security light. the red/white wire is the only wire that has voltage. any help would be appreciated. thanks pies
