Re: misfire on cyl 3 and 6

also it only runs rough at idle and when accelerating, its runs smooth on the highway, not sure if that means anything

Re: misfire on cyl 3 and 6

I would have swapped the coil with one of the others- to see if misfire follows the coil---

Anyway- try swapping wires, then if no help, then have ignition module tested at one of the local chain stores Autozone etc.

Re: misfire on cyl 3 and 6

where is the ignition module located? Is it common for them to cause a miss in 2 cylinders?

Re: misfire on cyl 3 and 6

It could be plugs, wires, or ICM......the 3 coils are attached to the ICM.....just use a spark tester to test the output of the 3/6 coil......if no spark and the 3/6 coil is new and ok, then it's the ICM.......

What condition are the wires? Are they original?

Plugs ever replaced with A/C Delco's?
