LIM replacement problems, bolts n now won't stay running
So I replaced LIM gasket in a 99 3.4. First problem on re assembly is the bolts were too short?? I ended up studding them (yell at me if this isn't good) got the intake to torque down as instructed (sticky). Got it back together n ran for a couple seconds n died off, now it wont stay running, where did I go wrong, I used the autozone fel-pro kit, and bolts, I've done this procedure on 2 other 3.4 with no problems, but I am repairing this job from a previous hack, n noticed some rigged vacuum lines, any help would be appreciated

Re: LIM replacement problems, bolts n now won't stay running
check your vacuum lines and all the wires and plug ins around the ICM.
it could be either or both of those causing it to not stay running.

Re: LIM replacement problems, bolts n now won't stay running
How could the bolts be too short?
The 8 bolts for the lower intake should have been replaced.......the four center bolts had a different spec, than the four shorter outer bolts..... Will it run if you spray carb cleaner into the intake? Check for codes? |

Re: LIM replacement problems, bolts n now won't stay running
ya sounds like the bolts were turned around, unless they were the wrong bolts n the kit.
Im not real impressed with the last 25 or so fel pro kits Ive bought, just not what they used to be IMO.
