BMW 3.0 csl - Le Mans 1974 - Finotto, Mohr, Facetti - Marui 1/24

I decide to make a model from this car:



need this kit:



there where a minimum of parts in this kit en the body wasn't accurate.

I chopt the roof a bit.



final result:

nice looking model. also I did it.
It is anyway the nicest CSL around. Imho much more nicer than arii model
welldone here.

to VSB: you did a great job to improve the roof shape. But, I want to show you that your roof still is not correct, especially in the rear end. The angle of inclination of the rear pillar should be more horisontal (red line). Also, the angle of the rear edge of the door window should be more horisontal too (blue line).
Despite it as a whole your model is looking very nice.

I agree with Stratos . In addition, the model is cca 4 mm shorter than it should be. The error is in the back of the model. And, unfortunately, also has the wrong shape.


The best and most accurate model is Arii.
Surprisingly
It is possible to use it as a basis for conversion.
I have a home as Marui so Arii.

Is the Arii model the same one that was sold by Airfix, in the 1990s I think. If not does anyone know where the Airfix model came from and how accurate or otherwise it is? I believe it has no interior.

Model from Airfix is not the same model from Arii. Primarily Airfix is certainly not in scale 1:24! Maybe 1:28?
