Transmission Fluid Level

Hello All....
I had my car in for service and I asked them to check my transmission fluid. I have 110000KMs on it and this was my first transmission service. They had to add 1/2 litre to it. They couldn't find any leaks. Is this normal for the fluid to require adding?
