boost question on rb20det
I am wondering how much boost can a stock rb20det take. I am talking about internals not what the stock t25 can spool and injectors can feed
thanks jamie EDIT: picture removed due to size. If you want to repost the pic please reduce the size as it is giving dial ups troubles Last edited by tazdev; 06-07-2003 at 01:00 AM. |

It is best not to go above one bar or 14.5 psi.

It really depends on your turbo and fuel system. If your engine/turbo is standard with an aftermarket intercooler, exhaust, filter and electronic boost controller you wouldn't want to run boost over .85 bar. If it is running an aftermarket ECU aswell you could probably boost it a little higher. Running an aftermarket low mount ballbearing turbo, 550cc injectors, Bosch fuel pump etc you could run 1 bar. If your internals/turbo are standard I wouldn't boost too high because parts will crap themselves a lot quicker. Hope this helps.
