Kawasaki Ninja

Hi! This is my first post here so bear with me...
I am posting a Tamiya Kawasaki Ninja model that I built 4 or 5 years ago. I haven't built anything for about 3 years now, but am trying to get back into the hobby. I only built models for about 3 years before that, except for when I was a teenager. I really enjoy the things I see on this site. There are some amazing builders here. I am still learning so I feel a bit uncomfortable about posting, but here goes...

I built the one with the bodywork on it first, then as my skills improved, I wanted to do a detailed version several years later. I wired and plumbed it up as best as I was able and put them together as you see them. These pics don't show as much detail as some of the later ones. I am even less of a photographer than I am a model builder!

I didn't like the huge front fender so I chopped it down a bit and tried to make it look more interesting on the stripped down version. And yes my Kawasaki logo on the left side tank of the dressed bike is messed up. Broke a mirror off when I was putting them in the case and had to reglue it. Thought I had gotten most of the stickem off the masking tape I used to hold it in place as it dried by attaching it to the leg of my jeans several times, but when I pulled it off the decal also went with it!

I attempted to sratchbuild some of the electronics for the first time. I got better as I continued to build, but these were my first tries. Not overly impressive, but I guess it will show how we all progress from one build to another if I post more in the future.

These pics were taken recently. They show a bit more detail, but are overexposed more than I wanted. My main disappointment with this build was the nakedness of the wiring around the instrument and headlight area. I just didn't know how to do it at the time and left it off. Maybe someday I will try my hand at it again...

Thanks for looking!
