Window Net Hardware?

I'm a new gtwc owner (chassis #13) and there was no window net when I purchased the car. It has the buckle welded to the top front part of the roll bar and there is a tab with a hole mounted to the top back part of the same DOM tube. There appears to be no tabs mounted anywhere for the lower window net rod to attach. Can someone show me a picture of your upper and lower window net rod mounts?

The lower straps attach to the chassis/tub. Can't really help you as I swapped out the buckle thing for a Joe's Racing mount kit.

Have the same one on my Corvette... much easier to actuate than the buckle type.

Re: Window Net Hardware?

If you don't want to do any welding then you will have to get the top bar from Panoz. This has a "unique" front mount that uses a seatbelt buckle to engage the front roll bar mount.

You could then use any of the universal nets with standard lower bar. The lower straps are bolted through the side of the "door sill" chasis and usually have buckles to adjust tension to the lower rod.

Else you will have to weld a new front mount and use a universal net of the size you prefer.

If you want the factory upper bar I think my father has it in his garage. Let me know if you want to go that route and I can have him dig it out.

Re: Window Net Hardware?

Cobra4b, thank you for the offer! My concern is the existing buckle that is attached to the upper front cage and the weird tab (hole opening is parallel to the door) will not be compatible with standard hardware and I'll have to end up getting these cut off and a standard net hardware kit re-welded. I'll call Panoz tomorrow and see if they sell their specific hardware. If I strike out with this I'll post again and ask you to sell me what your dad has.
