Celica LB Turbo Gr.5 - Newbie!

Hey all.

This is my first model returning to the hobby after a 17+ year hiatus since I was about 10 years old

This kit was bought off eBay about 5yrs ago, thinking I would get back into it, but it's taken this long to get any further than that!

I am using this kit as practice before I get into my real interest, which is championship-winning F1 cars. It is also partly related to my study of Japanese, as there is a lot of material available in my target language.

That it was for practice means I made a lot of mistakes; I forgot to buy primer when at the hobby shop so I decided 'Meh, it's for practice. I will just put a couple more coats of colour on and polish carefully'. It turned out OK considering....but not great. It is painted in Tamiya spray can lacquer for the body, and all the rest was brushed with Tamiya acrylics.










I have now started work on the Porsche 936 - Another old kit and practice hack...but I will use primer this time...
