Cool 1996 Eldorado Windshield Washer Tank

Hello,

What is the procedure to remove the windshield washer tank on my 1996 Eldorado ETC. It is leaking. I removed the filter assembly, but under it there is a large black plastic box with a metal part inside it. How do I remove this so I can get to the windshield washer tank for removal and repair? Thanks...... Ellis

That large black plastic box with a metal part inside is your PCM (computer) You will need to look in a service manual to see the proper procedure to removing the PCM with no damage and your tank is not really exactly under that I believe there is a metal plate under your PCM and the tank is under that. As far as getting that box open there are two metal latches holding it closed one facing the headlamp assembly and the other which is nearly impossible to get your hand on facing the fender. When removed you can remove the bolts that hold the metal plate and access your tank
