Ferrari 599GTO

Hello AF!
Here is my latest project. The awesome 599 GTO of course. After seeing Andybmw's WIP and these pics...

I was moved to build this kit. I used scalefinishes (highly recommended) interior ferrari paint, Hobby Design's 599 PE and ADV wheels (surprisingly clean), TM2 metal transfer decals and my favorite cf decals (Studio27). I lowered the stance, modified the front bumper, wired the engine and lengthened the front lip a bit. I used red from Duplicolor spraycan, which I eventually covered with Zero rosso scuderia after I ran out of Duplicolor and had to fix a chip on hood. The color is topcoated with a satin varnish for a matte finish. The interior is black and tan with metal accents as I wanted to get away from the interior cf look. Like a told another forum member: "The owner spent all his extras money on paint, bodywork, wheels and engine upgrades" As I sit here writing this I realized that I'm missing air valves. I plan on taking some pics outside, so I will have them on by then

The biggest problem I had with the kit was getting the rear diffurser to fit in properly.
Let me know what you think and thanks for looking

Re: Ferrari 599GTO

Totally awesome. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!

That stance is spot on, the CF on the sides looks killer. The brakes look great and the wheels fit the car perfectly.

Super!!!!!!!!
Andy

Re: Ferrari 599GTO

That's a very good build with nice and clean modifications, and a great use of c/f, but I'd prefer a gloss red finish also.

Pedro I used interior paints from scalefinishes.com that match Ferrari colors. It is a great product. Just airbrush right over plastic without primer.

Re: Ferrari 599GTO

Outdoor pics are always the best. Satin finish looks much better outdoor.
