96 eclipse gst wont start

Hello everyone. Well I have a little huge problem. I have a 96 eclipse gst turbo. The engine blew last week and I swapped the entire engine with an engine from a 97 eclipse gst turbo. Now, my car won't start. my ecu is from my 96 eclipse. Am I missing anything? Do I need to swap ecu as well? Anything will help. I've checked everything and power seems to be going to coils, fuel pump works, plugs are new. I'm lost... please help....

Did the motor run before you swapped it into your car? Pull out a spark plug and check for spark while cranking. Make sure you are getting fuel pressure also. Odds are you either forget to hook something up or a connector isint making a good connection.
