2000 grand am

i took my 2000 grand 4 emission in colorado

they told me that they could do the emission because my trac button was not working

whay does that have to do with emisson

please help

if it does have to do with a emission any ideas in how to fix it

In Massachusetts, if an option is on the car, it has to work....obviously the same there.....

All that button is, is an on/off switch....check it out, if no codes are set.....could be something as simple as a broken wire.....
