Question high oil consumption

hi i have a 1999 toyota corolla I just bought it for my daughter for her first car the only thing i've noticed is that it only had 1000 miles on it since i changed the oil and that it was 3 quarts low ? not sure what happend but i checked it again after her second 1000 miles and it was again 3 quarts low any ideas the car does not leak oil and does not smoke

How have you judged that it does not leak oil? Could it leak on the highway and not in the driveway and you not notice?

my 2002 was burning 5 quarts a week but I also drive about 900 miles a week so I broke down and had the engine torn apart and it ended up being 4 stuck rings and and 6 burnt valves. I will keep you updated on how it ends up.
