Re: Ferrari 641/2

Of long working hours for you and of long minutes of ecstasy in front of your work for us, when we see the McLaren this Ferrari promises another beautiful show.

I take a seat, pop corns and I settle down for the show.

Nice start Jurgen
I really look forward to watching your build.
I have the Thunder Valley super detail kit for the F-190 - I will be interested in how similat the kits are
I would like to see the difference between the two - this is the first F-190 I've see done with a PP kit
Happy New Years to all

Re: Ferrari 641/2

Body's got color!

Primer: (Screwhole on the back of body and end of nosecone closed with putty)

Decals in place, painted with zero ferrari red and 2k clear:

For the notice, bought different M$rlb$ro decals, but once in the water, breaked in dozens of pieces, so placed the original Tamiya ones...

Regards

Jurgen - your paint and decal work looks fantastic
Did you already clearcoat the paint and decals?
What color paint did you use?

Re: Ferrari 641/2

very nice painting and good decal job!!
What a shame that the Marlboro`s broken, i have those specialties decals as well. You can aplly liquid decal film from Microsol, that protects the decals for breaking into peaces, i use it everytime when working with old decals and it is very helpfull

Thanks for the tip, decals are also thick, tried to apply them to the body (the one that didnt break ), but Microsol didnt really do much in softening them... So i discarded them...

Some more work done...

Instructions said to use the included sheet of sef adhesive silver, think alclad is much cleaner and easier to simulate the heatfoil...

Valve covers done:
(Still needs plenty of pe screws and nuts)

Re: Ferrari 641/2

Nice Jurgen
I think I will have to get one of the PP super detail kits for the 641/2 - I only have the TV kits and I'm wondering how much is different between them
You're off to a great start on the engine-transaxle

Did you ever tried Gunze Softener? I use it in the main time, i have Microsol and Micro set as well, but Gunze softens much more i think.
