Got a seatbelt ticket this morning, will this affect my employment at a dealership?
I posted this in the dealership experiences forum, but not sure how many people visit that section so I figured I post it up here..
I'm just wondering how or if a seatbelt ticket is going to affect my employment at my current dealership (I'm a technician). I'm already employed - they hired me with an excessive exhaust noise violation around 2.5 years ago and a no seatbelt ticket about 2 years ago. The dealerships insurance company pulls a 3 year record when they hire you. I got a seatbelt violation this morning. In Maine I believe they drop points off after 1 year. Will my dealership still insure me? I feel like I'm overreacting and I'll be fine but I was just wondering if anyone else out there had speeding violations, accidents, etc. during their employment and what their experiences were. Tom |

As far as I'm aware, as long as you have not lost you liscense, you will be ok. At least that's how it works in my area.
