Cool 2008 oil leak

I have a 2008 gently driven suburban ltz that i bought used at a dealer auction that seems to have developed a slow oil leak from the engine compartment. Any ideas why this has happened now? It now has 70,000 miles.

Re: 2008 oil leak

Need to see where it's coming from, oil pan gaskets are pretty common on those.

these vehicles are not known for oil leaks. much more for oil consumption with the AFM engines.

the leak maybe from the oil filter area. check that out along with the oil cooler lines . these may have been damaged some how.

make sure the oil cap is secure and the dip stick is also tightly fitted.

If the engine was repaired heads/valve springs/ etc. the valve covers are possible.
