Question about porsche 935 k3

Hi guys,
Does anybody know if there is around any model in 24th of the porsche 935 k3?
I took a look around and I found a model done by scale coachworks and listen in island collectibles time ago, but is sold out and no longer available.

Recently I've seen a very nice (at least looked nice from a quick look) slot racer jagermeister livery in a local model expo, but cant ask detailed infos about her.

I like a lot k3's,would like to add ti my collection also this beauty.They have also a lot of nice livery.

Renaissance has the 79 LeMans winning K3 in 1/24 scale. Not cheap but looks pretty nice.

As a matter of fact, for 49 euros, you should buy the Renaissence kit for sure!!!!

LOL Drago, I think I already suffered enough finishing my alzen porsche from Ditech.
Some friends from germany already gave me enough warnings on those resin.
Those are pure slotracers amateur models,I have already seen it is over my skill to convert theme in a static replica with the details I am (we are) used to place in my models.

For sure reneissance model is 3 times more expensive but is the kinda model I prefer to work. otherwise I feel much more comfortable in deeply scratchbuild the model starting from the most similar object I found around.Sure, when complete they are anyway nice ones, but from the picture starting point to a finished model pic is a very very long and suffering way.

The point is that this little german company makes very very interesting subjects in the correct big scale.Think also surely the master they use are not so bad at all. It is only the casting process that is a little disaster.If they will have a better casterman all those models will be too nicer at all. Probably thats anyway ok for slotracing porpouses.

The slot racers K3 I've seen in my local expo were indeed VERY nice ones in 24,so thats why I try ask if anyone knows the manifacturer. surely they were not vacuform models (3 identical in showcase), the external detail and finishing was very convincing.
In the way of a modern scaleauto bodies to have an idea.
I just asked for a similar model (mclaren f1 gtr short tail) moulded in very thin and well detailed resin.This mclaren model looked like the deadly masterpiece in progress by romik and his foolish lovely 3d cad proto parts.
At the time this k3 was not still in my interest,and I skip her.

I'm also a lover from the 935 models, I bought my last K3 on Ebay from "custom FX", it's identical to the Scale Coachwork Porsche 935 K3.
The strange thing is that I can't find any information anymore about it? They were going to make some versions from the K3?

I've some different versions from the K3, I prefer the Scale Coachwork as the best, followed closely with the Renaissance.

As the Scale Coachwork model is hard to find I would go for the Renaissance version.
I have the Ditech K4, surely wouldn't recommand it to use for a static model, although they have interesting models. But sadly poor quality.

So I think the Renaissance is the best option for now.

while I prefer the jagermeister version, so over the 150 euros I shall add extra decal. not my way really...






Also would like to build the martini rsr 2.1 esci/nitto based, but I've seen the quality is close to resin slot previously named..
Just the body is decent, all the rest is a puke.

yes they are great pictures.
The Jägermeister in the picture is the K4.
If you need any specific pictures from the Scale coachwork K3, let me know, I have the Jägermeister, the Sachs and the Apple-computer version. ( you can also find some on the net )

The MFH RSR isn't a good starting point I think, or do you prefer to make a new front for the car? This one is also expensive, and has the wrong interior at the back.

If you like to build the Jägermeister starting from the Renaissance kit, you should have to do some modifications at the rear fender inlets.

It seems we sure have the same interests!

exactly my opinion.
The MFH doesnt woth the money. Before create this thread I made a research also about her.My way will be rebuild/nearly scratchbuild all starting from esci puke,using 936 wheels and making all the rest by myside. Icluding decals. LOL
Today is typical to pay a good modeller to make a stunning promotional model as in the pics above . Better I shut up, cause also I am part of this game...

yes the pics are from a k4. I think such naked shoot is pure porno style (thing the background in the first picture is probably the old Nurburgring).It is exactly one of the bodies done by ditech slot. Sure, we like the same cars, as with many other good modellers here .This is soo cool...
Also SB and Christian likes those cars, just in bigger scale...


Today I prefer start from something with thin measure to cut/open/detail/rework.
Dunno really why nobody ever did those bodies in old vacuform style. I made many airplanes in vacuform.it was a great way to have thin plastics and good details. I dunno if some of u are also plane modellers. In the 80s and 90s there was everything done in such plastic material (I have saved nearly 2000 of theme,including many prototype planes).I remember they were scary to see,and a challenge to clean, but when done the overall look was impressive.There is still some few company in Uk working on vacuforms.Concept was simple and cheap. Also tamiya made incredibly nice vacuform bodies for her 1:10 cars. still today those parts are cheap and nearly perfect in shape.

I will investigate a little bit more about the pretty slotracer I've seen here.It was a very nice one.
The expensive bricks in resin will keep as last chanche.Sadly I didnt take the pictures of the expo ones. Suspect it can be also something new done by local slotclubs.
