YES YES!!!!!

It was around 25 today......usually it should only be around 20....or so.

You're sitting inbetween two mountains anyways causing the hot air to not have a chance to escape since the cold air from the moutains is pushing down on the hot air......microclimates....learned it in school.

"There's learnin' in schools now!?!??!!? When did that happen!??!?!"

"Hyuk.....yup."

there is mountains to the east, across the straight, but none on the west.
there are some a bit further north, but thats quite a good 3 hour drive.

maybe i forgot to mention i live on the south vancouver island, sorry

Did you know that the largest ski resort in the southern hemisphere has a bad gateway!?!?!?!?

Better brush up on your link there.

BTW Sean......I hate Geography.

Here's proof:

(actual quote from me)

"Newfoundland is right beside BC......right?"

And no I wasn't high. :bandit:

And I was only off by.....a coule million km's......give or take.....also depends which way you're going.

mmm winter sounds good right now. i would give anything to get out of this humidity. well, maybe not anything...

Oz you've been to Victoria before havn't you? was it really humid when you were here?

Couple million km eh? how many laps of the planet are you doing again? or were you planning on detour to the moon? not the most direct route, but worth the trip no doubt.

hmm. usually its not because its on the tip of an island in the north pacfic which keeps a steady breeze coming in. it must have been all the pavement in the inner harbour that was heating that area up.

either way its uncomfortable, and i just relized i have a sunflower seed stuck to my back

Yep.

Brian-It's still averaging low 20s C here too. This is the equivalent of Canada early/mid December.
At least we have some snow
