Malboro Ducati Desmosedici 2004 (Loris Capirossi)

Hi guys,

This bike I've made is the wet race specs.

The brake disc that I used here is a set of photo etch from our forum mate, miguel s & the wet tyre that I've made is Model Factory Hiro. I know that it's true that Model Factory Hiro wet tyre is indeed Bridgestone design instead of Michelin but then, it's kind of hard to look for Geronimo's Work Michelin design wet tyres as I've looked around online but to no avail. But then, how can most of people tell between Bridgestone wet tyres or Michelin wet tyres unless they are well versed with MotoGP specs, right? he he he

How I did my work is in this link : http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...=1#post7011069

Here are the photos of the bike without the fairings attached. As I do not have anymore green wire to put, I have to use the stock wire provided by the kit. Only if Tamiya follows Hasegawa kits that is giving us the transparent wire so that we can either colour it with clear red or green for the wire depending on the placement.

Though the Malboro decal has some cuts for it on the fairing part but the one on the right side of fairing I have to cut the line otherwise it'll be one whole piece rather than any typical decal piece with cuttings as you see in Tabu Design, Studio 27, etc. The size of the decal on fairings are kind of a little oversize here cause if you can see a photo or two, you can see the excess of the decal on the fairing at the edge there. The Hobby Design Malboro set has missed out one part that is the 3 small Malboro parts that are placed on the screen. Luckily I have some extra from the Museum Collection set that I've used on my previous Desmo bike & they have 6 pieces of the small Malboro part instead of usual 3 pieces.

Comments & suggestions are welcome.

Adrian

Bike looks good but don't you have the rear tyre backwards?

Great work on a fantastic looking bike!

FYI, Model Factory Hiro does both Michelin and Bridgestone rain tyres!

Bike looks nice, but some of the decals aren't very smooth

Re: Malboro Ducati Desmosedici 2004 (Loris Capirossi)

Thanks guys,

As it's my first time making a wet race bike, I'm not sure how a rear tyre should be mounted? Is it the lining placement somehow?

I'll take note.

Looks really nice Adrian - your skills are improving very nicely
Sad you didn't post the work in progress at the time you were doing it
I will go to your WIP link and see how you did it.
Any word on your ZX-10R you started??

John

Hi John,

Sorry for very late reply. At the moment I wouldn't be thinking on the ZX-10R yet but I would come back later on.

Regards.

Adrian
