Need help replicating small plastic part
I thought it would be a good idea to look back to my modeling brethren for some assistance. I need to produce a small plastic part over and over again for use in hand made watch straps. The part has to be sturdy, it is essentially a brace that strengthens the connection between a watch strap and the watch itself.
This is the piece. Does anyone have any ideas how I could produce it? ![]() ![]()

Re: Need help replicating small plastic part
I would first figure out what actual material you need to make it from. This looks like it will receive significant wear and stress. None of the materials we commonly use to make model parts would be suitable for this.

Re: Need help replicating small plastic part
3D printers can produce metal parts, or make a mold & cast them?

Re: Need help replicating small plastic part
3d printers, or use metal (melt it) and a suitable mold.
