'08 Grand Prix GXP noise after starting
I have a 2008 Grand Prix GXP with 66k on it. About half the time when I start the car either normally or with the remote start it makes a noise like its being over cranked. Any ideas on what this could be? I might see if I can take a video of it to record the sounds.

Alright, I finally posted a video:

Sounds like the bendix gear of the starter is hanging up in the flywheel's ring gear a little. Check that the starter mount bolts are tight. Might have a bad spot on the ring gear, maybe a weak bendix drive spring.

Is the starter located in the back of the engine on this car? I haven't had a chance to look under the hood yet for it.

Re: '08 Grand Prix GXP noise after starting
replaced the starter, that was the issue. However I dropped a screw that went to the bars that went over the air intake, and on the other side the bar goes over the battery. It is one of the short screws that attach above the radiator. What screw is this?

If you are talking about the bolts that hold the cross braces, take one from the other side, should be the same. hardware store
