New Key for 2003 Yukon

Does this key have a chip in it? I've found sites that claim it does and another that says it doesn't. Can I just buy a GM blank and have the key cut?

That didn't answer my question about a chip in the key.

But I went to my local Ace Hardware and they cut a key for $3.99. There is no chip. I called the dealer just for the heck of it and they wanted $30 for the same thing.
