'83 rotor sizes and calipers ?

I used to own an '83 Delta 88. It had 15 inch wheels, so I'm guessing it had 11 inch rotors.

I don't know what the caliper size was?

Is there a way I could get the specs somehow?
I am especially interested in the mm of diameter for the calipers.

It just came up as a conversation piece, so I feel embarrassed that I don't know.

(Btw, my 88 suffered unsolvable electrical problems ... and had to be put down. It was a great car.)

The rotor size on those vehicles is 11.0 in. (279mm) and the calipers should fit.

Thanks. That helps me out a lot!

Remembering back, for a full-frame car like that, it could stop quite easily. I wonder if the master cylinder was over-boosted or if it had 2-piston calipers. They sure must have been large. I'd say at least 80mm (total area per caliper).

Re: '83 rotor sizes and calipers ?

Single-psiton calipers.

A "large brake package" consisted of 12" calipers (HD brake option). Rear brakes are 9" drums. Big brakes had 11" drums (and 5x5 bolt circle--small brakes had 5x4-3/4" bolt circle.

Rotors are 1" wide. Caddys (commercial chassis) had 1-1/4" wide rotors (12" dia.).

Big brake package also had larger master cylinder.

Hope this helps!
