tank pressure monitoring
My sister's 2003 Cavalier has two Check engine light codes. The one says that the fuel tank pressure sensor has suffered an over voltage condition and the other code says an under voltage condition. She cannot get new tabs for her car without correcting this condition.
Am I correct in assuming that is has to be the tank pressure sensor? Is there any other option than to pull the fuel tank to replace this sensor? Thanks |

Re: tank pressure monitoring
As long as the wiring is ok to the sensor, you most likely do have a bad pressure sensor, its a fairly common failure. It's mounted on top of the tank and the only way to get to it is to drop the tank. You may only need to partially drop it to be able to reach the sensor.
