A new project car
I am looking for a muscle car that could run 0-60 in the 5-6 second range (stock set up) but do not want the terrible handling of a big block. I own a 1967 mustang 289 and would like for the handling to be comparable to it. I do not mind making some modifications if the car runs in the mid six second range or so (headers, better air flow etc). (1) Does anyone have any suggestions? I would like for the car not to be extremely rare.
The 1969 Boss 302 and 1969 Camaro z28 seem to match up pretty good. The boss capable of 0-60 in 6.5 and the z28 in 6.9 according to the websites I've seen. (2) Are these times correct? (3) Also what are the curb weights on these cars?
